The zoo has a large naturalistic gorilla habitat with strategically placed viewing areas. The lowland gorillas can be seen without disturbing these gentle and shy giants.
Lion House
A favoarite of San Franciscan's and visitor's alike is a visit to the Lion House at 2 P.M. feeding time. One by one the large cats are served as the lions impatiently demand their lunch. Always a roaring event!
Bear Habitats
Several bears each in their own habitat are always a treat when visiting the zoo. Usually active and friendly, they are great camera posers.
