The victorian Cliff House was the most popular of the five buildings that have stood on this location. Unfortunately this structure survived the famous 1906 earthquake only to be destroyed in a fire one year later. Many had hoped this structure would be rebuilt one day but the National Park Service who now owns the land has no plans to rebuild this magnificent building.
