| Fort Miley is situated on 29 acres of a former Army reservation originally a subpost of the Presidio. The hospital was intended to be utilized as a center for disabled war veterans seeking compensation or special medical care. Today it is the major health care facility for veterans from San Francisco to the Oregon border. The VA medical center is within easy walking distance approximately six blocks from the Seal Rock Inn. |
